Clear Aligners for a Confident Smile
Clear Aligners are a type of clear aligner that typically is faster than traditional braces. They can rotate teeth, close spaces, and fix crowding. It is common to need small composite (tooth colored filling material) buttons on one or more teeth to help the tray facilitate movements. The buttons will match your tooth color and is removed at the end of treatment. Clear Aligners work best when worn 22 hours a day, and is taken out when eating and drinking. A success of trays will be given to you and you will switch them out every 1 to 3 weeks, depending on the amount of movement needed.
Not only can this align your teeth for getting that perfect smile you’ve always dreamed of, but it also helps reduce your risk of periodontal and occlusal disease. You are able to floss and brush your teeth much easier in proper alignment and with a perfect bite, you are at much lower risk for grinding and chipping teeth.
What Are Clear Aligners?
Clear aligners are custom-made, transparent trays that fit snugly over your teeth. They gently move your teeth into the desired position over time using light, consistent pressure. Unlike traditional braces, clear aligners are removable, nearly invisible, and designed to fit seamlessly into your lifestyle.
You’ll receive a series of aligners, changing them every one to two weeks. Each set gradually shifts your teeth closer to the final alignment. Made from smooth plastic, clear aligners eliminate metal wires, reduce irritation, and require fewer dental visits.
How Do Clear Aligners Work?
Clear aligners move teeth by applying gentle, targeted pressure in a carefully planned sequence. Each aligner in your series is slightly different, guiding your teeth step by step based on a personalized digital treatment plan.
Treatment begins with a digital scan or mold of your teeth. Your aligners should be worn 20–22 hours per day, removed only for eating, drinking anything other than water, or brushing and flossing. Over time, this consistent wear gradually straightens your teeth into their ideal positions.
